Prices are benchmark ranges, not quotes

Every price on this site — project packages, the estimator, quote check, cost guides, and articles — is a planning benchmark range assembled from published Calgary market data and supplier pricing. Your actual price is established only by a written, signed line-item specification prepared after a site visit. Until you sign that document, nothing on this site creates a binding offer, and placing an order request creates no payment obligation.

How projects work

BuildRenovate acts as the general (prime) contractor on projects it accepts. Your construction agreement is with BuildRenovate, not with individual trades. We engage licensed and insured subcontractors to perform trade work under our direction and supervision; they are our subcontractors, we are responsible for coordinating and paying them, and you are not in privity of contract with them. Our project management, supervision and warranty are itemized in your quote.

Work proceeds against the signed, itemized quote. Additions or changes require a written change order priced and approved before that work begins. Applicable licensing, permits, insurance and Alberta lien-holdback requirements are handled as part of the project and reflected in your documents.

Content

Site content, including articles in Ideas, is general information for Calgary homeowners, not engineering, legal, or financial advice. Permit and code notes summarize common City of Calgary requirements — confirm specifics with the City or your contractor.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the site: no scraping at disruptive volume, no submitting false inquiries, no attempting to access other customers' order links or the administration area.

Liability

The site is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by Alberta law, BuildRenovate is not liable for decisions made based on benchmark information prior to a signed specification. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law.
