In short
We collect the contact and project details you give us to prepare your benchmark price and coordinate your project. We don't sell your information. Advertising and analytics cookies only run when we've enabled those tools, and you can ask us to see or delete your data any time at hello@buildrenovate.ca.
What we collect
When you request pricing, start an order, use the estimator or quote check, or contact us, we collect what you provide: name, email, phone, postal code, and details about your renovation project (selections, budget ranges, notes). Our systems also record standard technical information — IP address, browser type, the page you were on, and, if you arrived from an ad, campaign identifiers (such as UTM tags and click IDs) so we know which advertising works.
How we use it
To prepare and send your benchmark price range and order documents, to coordinate your free site visit and project with a vetted general contractor, to respond to your questions, and to improve the site and our advertising. If you start but don't finish an inquiry, we may follow up. We send commercial email only in line with Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) — you can unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time, and transactional messages about your own order are always sent.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us operate: our hosting and database provider (Cloudflare), our email delivery provider (Resend), our AI assistant and CRM platform (Vlyn.ai) which may process your inquiry to route and respond to it, and — when you place an order — the licensed general contractor assigned to carry out your project. When advertising tools are enabled, Meta (Facebook) and Google may receive event data, including hashed contact details, for ad measurement. We do not sell personal information.
Where it's stored & how long
Data is stored with Cloudflare, whose infrastructure is global; our primary storage region is western North America. We keep inquiry and order records for as long as needed to serve you and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize them.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA and Alberta's PIPA, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Email hello@buildrenovate.ca and we'll respond promptly. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies & tracking
The site works without cookies. We use browser storage for conveniences like remembering your order draft link and where you came from. Advertising pixels (Meta, Google) run only when enabled and can be blocked with standard browser tools without affecting the site.
